Description:
This training is a series, consisting of 4 class days, 1 (optional) review day, and the exam day


The registration fee of $125 (check or money order ONLY, made payable to Robeson County Cooperative Extension) may be mailed to Cooperative Extension, P. O. Box 2280, Lumberton, NC 28359 or delivered to the Extension Center.  The fee covers the 7th edition textbook, test answer sheet, handouts, and refreshments.  The attached enrollment form must be returned with the registration fee by Friday, January 17. The last day to register is January 17.  A fillable enrollment form along with other information can be found at https://robeson.ces.ncsu.eduand clicking on “Food Safety and Processing” under Agriculture and Food. It is a good idea to register in enough time to allow for at least 10 days to study before the class begins.  The minimum number of participants needed to hold the training is five; less than five will result in the cancellation of the training.  There are no refunds, but substitutions may be made by the registrant in advance of the first day of class.  The training is available in Spanish if requested; please call for scheduling.
If anyone has participated in this training offered by Cooperative Extension in the past and needs to retest, they can do so on February 13.  The retesting fee is $50 and would need to be paid (check or money order ONLY) by January 17.

Description:
Safe Plates for Food Handlers is a short training that covers basic information on safe food handling.   This program covers temperature control, personal hygiene and health, preventing cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing, and allergens. 


This program would be ideal for anyone working in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other food establishments.  This course is also appropriate for volunteer and temporary food handlers, such as those working at soup kitchens or fundraising events. 


Registration fee is $5, and can be mailed or brought the day of training.  Registration form can be mailed, emailed, or brought into office by June 13. A fillable PDF registration can be found at
