Description: Who:    4-H Youth Ages 14 – 18 (as of January 1, 2019)

What:        Activities will include workshops, tours, campfire and smores, spirit stick competition, district officer elections, and tons of networking.  There will be two workshop times and the following workshop topics will be provided:  Blue Crabs, Fort Caswell Tour, Squid Dissection, Busting Through the Walls to REALationships, Design Challenge, and Downward Spiral.

Cost:    County Council Officers      $50
             All Other Members               $60
   
The cost for this event is $75, but thanks to our United Way dollars, we are able to offer this at a reduced price.  The cost includes breakfast and lunch Saturday, lodging, workshops, and snacks.  Bring money for a quick supper on the way.            

Deadline to sign up and pay:  April 11 (Check or money order only)
To register, your 4-H online enrollment must be complete.


Details:  Leave the Extension Center Friday at 4 p.m. and return Saturday around 4 p.m.  Transportation will be provided.  We will send more details for those who register.

Description:
Safe Plates for Food Handlers is a short training that covers basic information on safe food handling.   This program covers temperature control, personal hygiene and health, preventing cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing, and allergens. 


This program would be ideal for anyone working in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other food establishments.  This course is also appropriate for volunteer and temporary food handlers, such as those working at soup kitchens or fundraising events. 


Registration fee is $5, and can be mailed or brought the day of training.  Registration form can be mailed, emailed, or brought into office by April 29. A fillable PDF registration can be found at
