The registration fee of $125 (check or money order ONLY, made payable to Robeson County Cooperative Extension) may be mailed to Cooperative Extension, P. O. The fee covers the ServSafe Manager textbook (6th edition edited to include 7th edition content), exam answer sheet, handouts, and refreshments. The enclosed enrollment form must be returned with the registration fee by September 10. The last day to register is September 10. A fillable enrollment form along with other information can be found at https://robeson.ces.ncsu.edu and clicking on “Food Safety and Processing” under Agriculture and Food. It is a good idea to register in enough time to allow for at least 10 days to study before the class begins. The minimum number of participants needed to hold the training is five; less than five will result in the cancellation of the training. There are no refunds unless the training is cancelled, but substitutions may be made by the registrant in advance of the first day of class.

If anyone has participated in this training offered by Cooperative Extension in the past 6 months and needs to retest, they can do so on September 26. The retesting fee is $50 and would need to be paid (check or money order ONLY) by September 10.

Description:
Labels for Engenia, FeXapan, and XtendiMax were revised again. Those products are now classified as Federal Restricted Use Pesticides. They can only be sold by licensed pesticide dealers and purchased only by licensed/certified (commercial and private) applicators. Only licensed pesticide applicators who have taken the 2019 auxin training will be allowed to apply these dicamba products. This means that someone working under you without a license is not allowed to apply the restricted use dicamba products. The 2,4-D products, Enlist and Enlist Duo, will only require the training in 2019 before making any applications. Dr. Wesley Everman, NCSU Extension Weed Specialist, will provide recommendations on the proper use and application of these auxin family herbicides.

Please bring your pesticide license for one (1) hour of credit in categories N, O, D, and X. Preregistration (by February 20) is highly recommended. For more information or to register, contact Mac Malloy at 910-671-3276 or mac_malloy@ncsu.edu.
