Cover Crop and Soil Health Demonstration Day: Also Featuring High Tunnel Garlic

Learn about the basics of cover crops, planting methods, seeding rate, methods of termination, and overall benefits of cover crops. There will be an additional stop at the high tunnels to visit the garlic crops! We will provide training on how farming cover crops can improve soil health and other sustainable practices. Hear updates from the new book published by Southern SARE “i.e. ‘Managing Cover Crops Profitably from the Book” and how you can apply cover crop and soil health practices on your farm.


This Demonstration Day is ideal for a variety of audiences, including but not limited to small-scale, limited resource, and/or underserved beginning farmers, ranchers, and landowners; veterans, etc.


Transportation will be provided to this event. Limited spaces available. This is a first come, first serve service. Registration deadline is March 25.
