My name is Taylor Chavis, and on behalf of North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County, I am reaching out to you today to ask for your monetary support for our inaugural Robeson County Agricultural Awareness Days. The three-day event is a partnership between North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center; Robeson County Farm Bureau, Women’s Committee; AgCarolina Farm Credit; North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; and the Public Schools of Robeson County. This hands-on educational opportunity will be offered to all third graders in Robeson County, approximately 1800 students. The goal of the Robeson County Agricultural Awareness Days is to educate third-grade students on the importance and contribution of agriculture in our everyday lives.
