During this unique summer of 2020, when we are donning masks and social distancing, 4-H is still the place to find educational and enrichment activities for youth ages 5 to 18. Check out this page often for updates and new opportunities.

We will promote our county, regional, and state 4-H learning opportunities throughout the summer of 2020 on this webpage – so check back often.

Bladen County 4-H Summer Fun Opportunities

4-H Farm to Fork Flyer

  • Farm to Fork Virtual Camp for ages 5 to 8 will be July 21 & July 22, 2020, via Zoom at 2 p.m. each day. Registration is required and space is limited. An educational kit will be provided for each participant. We will learn about where our food comes from and get to taste some Farm to Fork foods. Participants that complete ALL camp programs will receive an incentive pack with t-shirt. Register online
  • Farm to Fork Virtual Camp for ages 9 to 14 will be July 27, 28, 29, & 30, 2020, via Zoom at 2 p.m. each day. Registration is REQUIRED and space is limited. An educational kit will be provided for each participant to accompany the virtual instruction. We will learn about where our food comes from and get to taste and prepare some Farm to Fork foods. Participants that complete ALL of the camp program will receive and incentive pack with t-shirt. Register online
  • Ready in the Middle, an emergency preparedness program for middle school youth will be offered via Zoom. Date, time, and registration details will be announced soon.

NC 4-H Summer Opportunities

4-H and Cooperative Extension professionals from across the state have prepared various summer learning opportunities for youth ages 5 to 18. All of the programs and registration information can be found on the  NC 4-H website. Youth can learn about the great outdoors, animal science down on the 4-H Farm, leadership, STEM, and SO MUCH MORE!!!

Regional 4-H Summer Activities 

Difficult Conversations and social change series: Teen Edition will be July 27-31. Teens ages 13-18 come join your peers for difficult conversations about race, cultural awareness, civic engagement, social justice, and YOUR role in taking action! Activities will be fun and interactive, but more importantly, this is a great opportunity to meet new people and share thoughts and ideas.

Then join the dialogue between a panel of leaders in Caldwell County, NC – both youth and adults – on July 28 from 6:30–8:00 p.m. You can register using the link below and submit questions for the panel. Panel Discussion- Caldwell County – Register online
