Hands-On FAMACHA Training for Sheep and Goat Producers
The FAMACHA system is a parasite control method for controlling haemonchus contortus (barber pole worm) in small ruminants. This parasite is one of the most problematic parasites among sheep and goats.
Dr. Sanjok Poudel, Assistant Professor and Extension Animal Production Specialist, with North Carolina A&T State University will be with us. Come and learn how to implement FAMACHA. We will start at the office with a classroom portion and then travel to a farm for hands-on practice.
Registration is $10. Registration deadline is Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Payment MUST be made in person at the Cooperative Extension office by check or money order ONLY (made payable to Robeson County Cooperative Extension) to reserve your space in class.
