Beef Repro Series

February 2 & 16, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

March 2, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This 3-day series will focus on beef reproduction.  Topics will include: basics of female and male reproduction; calving season and process; vaccination and health management; heifer development and management; bull development and management; natural mating, and artificial insemination, and heat detection; reproductive goals and benchmarks; advanced technology (estrus synchronization, timed AI, embryo transfer, etc.); pregnancy checking; and budgets, economics, and recordkeeping.

Both days in February will be held at two locations: 231 E Cronly Street in Laurinburg and 55 Agriculture Place in Clinton, and via Zoom. The field day will be held in Sampson County. Please choose the location that best fits you during registration. If you register for Zoom, a registration link will be sent to you before the meetings.

The cost is $25 for the series and will include lunch at the field day.  The cost for additional farm members from the same farm are $10 for each person. You can bring your check to the first meeting. Pre-registration is required to participate and registration ends January 31, 2023.Register Online.
