This year we are celebrating North Carolina 4-H's Centennial. We have come a long way from the boys' corn clubs and girls' canning clubs of the early 1900s. Today we still celebrate our agricultural roots with animal science projects and soil curriculum. We also celebrate our future with hands-on science projects such as rocketry, computer, and biotech experiments. Through 4-H, almost 3,000 young people in Robeson County learn new skills and serve their communities each year.  The 4-H Program offers clubs, special interest programs, summer camps, school enrichment, and after-school programming. Guided by North Carolina Cooperative Extension educators and almost 300 adult and teen volunteers, 4-H'ers gain knowledge, skills, and experience that help them become responsible citizens and leaders.
