The recertification deadline for private applicators for 2020 has been extended through November 30, 2020. In order to accommodate those needing credit hours, we have added several opportunities for applicators to attain their recertification credits.

There are two separate training sessions being offered on both Tuesday, October 13, and Friday, November 20 – a morning class from 911 a.m. and an afternoon class from 13 p.m. The morning classes have different recertification credits available than the afternoon classes, and you must register for each separate class you wish to attend. The morning classes will cover the same information on both dates. The afternoon classes will cover different information on each date.  Registration is required for each class you wish to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions, and each class is limited to 24 participants. ONLY THOSE REGISTERED WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND. You must provide a valid cell phone or email to receive confirmation of registration.

Private Applicator Recertification V Training — October 13 and November 20,    9–11 a.m. – Training will provide information on Worker Protection Standard revisions, auxin herbicides, protecting pollinators, proper nozzle tip selection, and basics of air-purifying respirators. Two (2) hours of recertification credits in categories Private Applicator V Credits available.

Pesticide Hazards and First Aid — Tuesday, October 13, 1–3 p.m. – Training will provide participants insight on pesticide hazards and effects, pesticide exposure, product toxicity and health concerns, symptom recognition, and first aid for poisoning. It will also cover items that will be covered during an on-farm pesticide inspection and how to prepare. Two (2) hours of recertification in Commercial categories A, B, D, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, T, and X available.

Pesticide Labeling and Compliance Updates — Friday, November 20, 1–3 p.m. – Training will provide instruction on how to understand a pesticide label and how it relates to proper use sites, use requirements, and licensing to avoid violations. Two (2) hours of recertification in Commercial categories A, B, D, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, T, and X available.
