As part of our responsibilities to provide equal opportunities to all Robeson County citizens, we have just released a bilingual flyer to invite thevSpanish-speaking community to join in our different programs offered by North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center.

With this initiative, we comply with federal laws such as Civil Rights Act of 1964 and follow NC State Extension’s commitment to nondiscrimination, equality of opportunity, institutional neutrality, academic freedom and student success. In addition, we act in accordance with the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) policy to offer free language assistance to any participant or applicant while receiving Extension services or benefits.

Robeson County is known for being one of the most demographically diverse counties in North Carolina, and for having, proportionately, the largest Native American population in the state. Other communities, such as Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic ethnicities, play a vital role in the development of our economy. We are actively seeking to understand their needs and reach their expectations.
