Description: Small Farms Week is designed to highlight the work of and show appreciation to the state's small, part-time, limited-resource and socially-disadvantaged farmers. North Carolina farmers and farm families are the backbone of our state's agricultural economy. This state's small farmers work hard to make sure we have a safe and affordable food supply so setting aside the opportunity to showcase and highlight their work is extremely important.

This year marks the 37th anniversary of this salute to small farmers across North Carolina, as
sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Program at North Carolina A&T State University. The
kickoff for the week will take place in Robeson County, home of the 2022 "Small Farmers of the
Year "Millard and Connie Locklear of New Ground Farms. Activities include a panel discussion, a
complimentary lunch, then a tour of New Ground Farm in Robeson County.

RSVP is REOUIRED to attend Monday's events in Robeson County. To register, call the

Description: Do you have a craft you can't seem to find time to finish? Do you have a new craft project you've been meaning to start, but can never find the time? This group is for you! Join other busy, crafty people once a month for craft advocacy, a scheduled time for you to work on the project you never have time for, start the one you can't seem to get started, or help someone else finish theirs.

This is not a class, there will be no one teaching you how to do any particular craft. This is an opportunity for you to schedule some time to relax and be productive. This group is open to everyone, and there is no fee. We are providing you time and space to work on your craft, you are responsible for providing your own supplies and materials. There are electrical outlets and tables for setting up sewing machines if needed. Some nights we may have to move into a smaller room due to classes or events being offered. If you will need to bring in your sewing machine or have a large area to measure, cut, or piece together fabrics, please call ahead to make sure we are meeting in a room that can accommodate your crafting needs.

We will meet once a month, on the first Thursday of every month, from 6 - 8 pm. Bring your craft, bring your materials, bring a friend!

Are some seeds harvested dry and some harvested wet? What is the process? How do you store your saved seed? Bring your questions and discover how you can save your seed too!
